Sometimes English words also exist in French, but mean something completely different.
Make sure you don't mix up:
Pain (English); the disagreeable sensation you get when your head is severed from your body by the guillotine.
et/and
Pain (Français); the crusty stuff featured in The Lord’s Prayer which you purchase daily from your local Boulangerie and never, ever put in the freezer.
